Marcia performs at festivals, concerts, coffeehouses, churches, even on seagoing windjammers, across the U.S. and Canada. She’s honed her teaching craft in classrooms Pre-K through Grade Twelve, at colleges and universities, adult music immersion camps, youth programs, and in her private studio.
She offers workshops in songwriting, performance and presentation skills, group singing, and in the connections between music and the important issues of our time. Marcia has collaborated with musicians, artists, actors and directors on theatrical productions from musicals to street theater.
Marcia earned her Bachelor of Music in Classical Guitar performance from the Hartt College of Music in Hartford, CT. She describes herself as a ‘musical midwife’, and encourages artistic expression for all.
“I make music that is useful, that leaves us stronger, happier, empowered. Music can help build a better world. Humankind just might make it….and I’m about increasing the odds that we will.”
